Welcome!

We are an active, welcoming chess club in Edinburgh.

We are located at Slateford Bowling club, where we have access to a spacious playing hall.

As well as playing in the Edinburgh League, we are actively running club nights with club championship, lightning and social chess games available.

Allan McDiarmid wins the Spring Lightning for the first time.

We lost 3½ - 1½ against Queens Park in the semi final (first round!) of the Jack Campbell Rosebowl.

We lost 3-2 against Edinburgh in the quarter final of the Spens Cup.
