We are always interested to welcome new members to the club.

You would be welcome to come along and visit the club, and play some games, before making a decision.

The membership year runs from mid-September to end April. (recent years has extended to June)

Membership Benefits

There are various benefits of club membership:

Eligible for selection in our teams (edinburgh league, allegro league, summer cup, national league, and national cup)
Take part in our internal club competitions (e.g. club championship, lightnings)
Play social chess on club nights
We are a club member of Chess Scotland so all our internal competitions are graded. (You don’t need to be an individual member of Chess Scotland)

Full fee is £50.
Fee for juniors (U-17) is £25.

Depending on when you join the fee may be reduced at the discretion of the Treasurer.
