Four games were played last night in the final round of the all play all qualifying stage of the 2021-22 club championship. All games being decisive for the players with the black pieces.
Despite being in severe time trouble Georgy managed to convert a king, rook and pawns ending to a king and rook pawn versus king and rook pawn ending, winning the pawn to allow a queen promotion with only 30 seconds to play. Sandy graciously resigned at that point!

Gerry still has one game to play but has already scored enough points to win section B! and qualify for the championship play off. This also means he will at the very least win the minor championship.
Section A still has a few games still to be played with Richard in first place at the moment on 5 points. The game between Douglas and Crawford is likely to decide the section winner.
