Charlie played aggressively against Charles but pushed pawn to f6 which forced open the g file but this turned out to be more useful for Charles to attack down!
Euan appeared to be a pawn up with a good position but a mistake allowed Eric back in to the game and draw was concluded.
Isaac gave up a pawn in the opening and spent time trying to regain it. This let black compete development and although pawn was regained this was at the cost of the f2 pawn. Best chance was to force rooks off and try to hold opposite coloured bishops a pawn down. Unfortunately white blundered missing a discovered attack on his rook.
Mathew had a good space advantage and should have continued to slowly improve position of pieces. Instead some unforced exchanges eased black’s position.
