Second Team Lost to Musselburgh 1

Once again we were outgraded on every board.
On board 1 Eric defended valiantly against a strong attack and won when his opponent blundered in time trouble.
Unfortunately we had to default board 2.
João reached an endgame a pawn down but secured a draw with accurate defence.
Patrick generated a strong K side attack but Iain Hope defended well and Patrick, low on time, couldn’t find a way to press home his advantage. Under time pressure Patrick was unable to secure a draw in the ensuing R & P ending.
My position gradually worsened until I blundered a piece.
Emma developed a strong attack but her opponent defended accurately and when Emma made a error going into the endgame her opponent managed to consolidate his advantage and win.
