Another win for the third team, with a 3½ - 2½ win against Bank Of Scotland 3.
This was a close match that went down to the last game to finish before the win was secured.
Great to see Tommy Li, Lewis Pantony and Gerry Davis making their debuts for the third team, with wins for Gerry and Lewis.
Andrew was the last game to finish where he had a king rook and pawn against a rook and pawn. Despite having the advantage there was not enough time to win the game and Andrew offered a draw. Initially his opponent played on, given the match situation, but the game was soon agreed as a draw.
It would be worth reading the article from 2022-23 on quick play finishes that covers such scenarios.
