Joe continues his excellent form with a win over Paul to move to 2/2. (entred after the first round)
Nick’s game against Ralph was first to finish with Ralph having to resign after 15 moves! It was a natural move to win the trapped white bishop on g3 but this was a serious mistake which opened the h file with the rook on h1 and queen on c2 lined up to deliver a mating attack on h7. Black could have limped on by sacrificing his rook on f5 but instead Qd5 allowed a mate in three.
