Thanks to Martin Robinson of Chess Edinburgh Council for supplying details of historical Chess Edinburgh competition winners.

Fourteen additional entries have been added to our roll of honour!

Note that prior to 1995 the current top Premier division was called Division 1. So in fact the club has finished as winners of the top division four times, the last being 1962-63.

Division C was the initial third division.

The present Premier, 1, 2 and 3 divisions were established from 1996.

It turns out we won the Allegro league once before in 1998-99. So in fact finishing as winners in 2023-24 was not our first victory.
