The first team earn a further season in the strong Premier Division where there will be no easy matches.

In first match against Bank of Scotland 1 this felt like one that got away.
Charles had a great win on board two against Will Reynolds.
Allan had better coordinated pieces in to the middle game and white had to resign when a queen check picked up a rook for nothing.
William got caught in an opening trap but fought hard to create complications.
Euan felt he was better in his game till the very end and lost.
Crawford missed winning a rook fearing mating threats on g2 that could have been defended.

In second match against Wandering Dragons 1 our top two boards earned good draws against higher graded opponents.
Crawford managed to forget all his opening theory in a line where blacks queen comes out early.
Allan had created a winning though complex position with both players getting low on time. He bravely declined a draw offer pushing for the win that was needed for the match result only to fall in to a checkmate.
