Euan McDiarmid wins Spring Lightning

Thirteen players took part in the Spring Allegro which was competed over 8 rounds.
Euan McDiarmid took first place with an impressive 7/8 finishing ½ point ahead of his father Allan McDiarmid!.
Charles and Douglas both needed to win in the final round to join Euan on 7 points but unfortunately both lost, sharing 3rd place. Douglas lost to Simeon and Charles lost to Allan.
Nick had a good event finishing with almost 70%.
It was good to see Simon along at the club taking part, but had to withdraw after the first round. This withdrawal allowed a visiting young junior called Lyndon to step in and play 5 games. He played very well and got 1½ points - a future star player!
